Fibster Privacy Policy
Fibster is a free multiplayer party game (a Balderdash-style bluffing game) made by Barstool Bush. It is the mobile build of the game also playable at barstoolbush.com/fibster. There are no accounts and we collect as little as possible. This policy explains exactly what the app handles.
What we collect
- Your display name — the name you type when you create or join a room.
- Your in-game answers and votes — the fake definitions you write and the picks you make during a round.
- A random device identifier & resume token — generated on your device and stored locally so that if the app closes or your connection drops, you can rejoin your seat. This is not tied to your real identity.
That's the whole list. We do not collect or ask for an email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifiers, or payment information.
How it's used & who sees it
Your display name and the answers you submit are sent to our game server (hosted on AWS) and shown to the other players in your room so the game can work — that's the entire point of the game. Because anything you type is visible to the rest of your room, don't use a name or write anything you wouldn't want a roomful of people to see.
How long it's kept
Rooms are ephemeral. Game sessions, submissions, and connection records live on our server only for the life of a game and are automatically deleted shortly after a game ends; abandoned rooms self-purge. The device identifier and resume token live only on your device and are cleared when you leave a game or uninstall the app.
No ads, no tracking
Fibster contains no advertising, no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and does notracking of you across other apps or websites. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone. Data goes only to our own game server for the purpose of running the game you're playing.
Server logs
Our game backend keeps standard short-term server logs (IP address, request metadata) for security and abuse prevention. These are not connected to any user identity by us.
Children
Fibster is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted content, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your choices & deletion
You can leave a room at any time, and uninstalling the app removes the locally-stored token. Because game data is ephemeral and not tied to an account, there's typically nothing left to delete once your room ends — but if you have a question or want something removed, contact us below.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
