The pitch was simple. Fly a crew of Barstool's thinning-on-top to Istanbul, hand them over to the Este Nove clinic, and document the whole thing as the Baldstool series. What nobody quite advertised was how much of the trip would happen AFTER the needles came out — the recovery, the wash, the field trips, the chaos of a Mintzy on foreign soil with a fresh scalp.
The recovery day is the one that actually sells the procedure. The day after surgery, the guys head back to the clinic to get the bandages off and the scalp gently washed, and on camera it looks like the best 10 minutes of their lives. There's a reason Nutrafol's logo is plastered on everything — this is the partnership content that justifies the whole flight.

Of course, the recovery would not be complete without one of them finding a way to mess it up. Mintzy, true to form, apparently wandered out of the clinic and straight into a rainstorm, returning with his fresh scalp leaking. The Este Nove staff had to patch him back together. You can script a lot of things on a hair-transplant trip. You cannot script a Mintzy.

Once everyone was patched and washed, the trip pivoted into tourist mode, and Turkey's other elite export got its turn: basketball. Turkish hoops crowds are legitimately one of the wildest atmospheres in world sports — flares, chants, the works — and the Baldstool guys were dropped right into it. The Wonton Don even capped the trip by linking up with Shane Larkin, who has spent the back half of his career as a genuine icon over there after going in the lottery a decade-plus ago in the NBA.

That's the whole arc of the trip in one tidy package: get the hair fixed, get the wash, get out and actually see the country you flew to. The vibes, as advertised, stayed extremely high. Now the only thing left is the part nobody films — the 6-month wait to see if any of it actually grew in.
