Jerry Goes Rogue, Drafts His Own BUSH Intern On Camera

Intern season hit Barstool and Jersey Jerry didn't get one for BUSH, so he just walked into the office and took one himself.

Every summer the Barstool intern class rolls in and every department lines up to grab their guy. This year somebody forgot to put BUSH on the list, which is a hilarious oversight considering Jersey Jerry runs an entire show and was not about to spend the summer fetching his own coffee. So he handled it the Jerry way — on camera, no permission, no HR loop-in.

Jerry walks the office, sizes up the new class, and points at a long-haired kid at a desk: 'THIS IS THE GUY.'

The bit is exactly what it looks like. Jerry strolls through, explains 'how this works,' lands on a guy in a tan shirt and glasses minding his own business at a workstation, and claims him. The coworker next to the kid is already laughing because there's clearly nothing anyone can do about it. BUSH has an intern now. Congratulations to the intern, condolences to whichever department thought they had him.

The main Barstool account framed it as Jerry openly poaching from the class — 'not your guy,' 'which one you want?,' 'switched.'

This is also not a one-off. Jerry has apparently been working the room all week, going intern to intern in a recruiting tour that the company itself is calling a poaching operation. The captions doing the talking ('SWITCHED') make it clear he's not even pretending to play by the assignment sheet. And the fan accounts are already running with the soap-opera angle, floating the idea that the whole stunt is really about Jerry missing his old running mate Simon.

A 'Jerry thinking about Simon' photo gag from the peanut gallery, planting the flag that this intern hunt has a deeper backstory.

Meanwhile, the rest of the floor is just trying to eat lunch. While Jerry was out conducting his own personal draft, Zac and Chef Donny were in the Barstool kitchen putting together a chopped cheese — the bodega classic, done in-house, no drama, no roster moves. It's the perfect split-screen of a Barstool afternoon: one guy aggressively expanding his org chart, two other guys quietly making a sandwich.

Verdict: the intern wins. Getting drafted by Jerry on day one beats fetching FedEx labels for some podcast you've never heard of, and BUSH just got free content out of the whole thing. The only real loser is whatever manager has to explain at the next staff meeting why their headcount walked across the office and never came back.
