Some workplaces have anniversaries for mergers or IPOs. Barstool has the hot dog in the ceiling. One year ago, somebody chucked a frank into the rafters of the HQ gym and the whole building stopped working to go get it down. Big Cat kicked off the nostalgia tour by reposting the original cinema.

The Yak crew followed up by formally canonizing the moment as a one-year anniversary, calling the retrieval effort "pure cinema." That is the right word for it. The whole bit works because nobody planned it, nobody monetized it cleanly, and for a couple of hours the entire office was just a bunch of adults staring at a tube of meat wedged into a ceiling beam.

Steven Cheah went a step further and called it probably his favorite Barstool office moment, which, when you consider the volume of insane things that have happened in that building, is a real endorsement. It also lines up with the broader Barstool ethos: the planned content is fine, but the unscripted gym chaos is what people actually remember.

Philly Mays, who is normally busy being late to Bread Boys tapings with Chef Donny, gets to add another rafter-aimed launch to his highlight reel. And Big Cat closed the loop with a photo caption that more or less seals the legacy of the original dog.
Big Cat's send-off post: forever in our rafters.

A year on, nobody is pretending this was important. That is exactly why it endures. Every office has a whiteboard of forgotten initiatives. Barstool has a hot dog stuck in the ceiling, and a crew that still wants to talk about it 12 months later.
