Ben Mintz Ankle Surgery Likely After Second Opinion

This didn't come out of nowhere. The warning signs have been all over the shows this month. On the Yak on 2026-09-16, Big Cat came back from a doctor's visit he went to with Mintz and read out the scan results from the Saturday before, and they were grim.

“She said, and I quote, Your ankle has not healed at all. The boot has not done anything so far.” – Big Cat

The plan back then was at least 1 more month in the boot before anyone started talking about surgery. The Houston read skips that wait. If the fracture is the kind that doesn't heal by itself, the extra month in the boot just delays the operating room. So the guy the office has spent all summer roasting for over-visiting the doctor turns out to have had a real reason to keep going back.

Of course the office wasn't going to let a legitimate medical update go by without a gag. Nicky Smokes floated a deal for Mintzy to pick from.

Next up is the surgery decision itself: when it happens, how long recovery takes, and whether Mintzy is back in a wheelchair for a while. After 2 months of treating this ankle like a punchline, the building has to handle it like a real injury now. Knowing this crew, that won't stop anyone from also filming it.
