Billy Sushi Returns To Barstool Chicago With Chef Donny

Chef Donny kicked off the rollout by calling it a return, and the teaser opens on pure chaos in the kitchen.

The word return matters. Donny already went to Billy's place: he made a video called Trying To Survive 48 Hours As A Sushi Chef At Billy Sushi, where he worked the line at a restaurant in Minneapolis's North Loop that's known as one of the best sushi spots in the Midwest. This time the trip went the other way, and Billy came to Donny's kitchen.

The point of the visit was simple: feed the office. The Chicago HQ kitchen got turned into a sushi bar for the afternoon, with rolls sliced on a wooden board and sauce drizzled over the top.

That one is a Pepsi partner post, so the soda cameos aren't an accident. Still, the food looks legit. When the guy plating your lunch runs a real restaurant, the office got a better meal than most delivery orders on a Tuesday.

It wasn't all cooking either. Donny's second clip shows Billy getting the full HQ tour, from the indoor putting green to the hallways, and it ends with a round of shots back in the kitchen.

Was a blast having Billy Sushi visit the office! Full episode linked below

That's the formula for Donny's show and it works. Bring in someone who can actually cook, let them loose on the office, and keep the camera rolling when it turns into a hang. Donny started at Barstool as an intern and now hosts What's For Lunch, and he's built his lane on visits like this. He has now gone to Billy's kitchen and Billy has come to his. If there's a round 3, it should probably be back in Minneapolis. The full episode is on YouTube now.
