The Big Dumper is doing Big Dumper things again. Cal Raleigh has turned the last week and a half into a personal highlight reel, and the latest jolt came at Fenway Park, where he took Erik Miller deep and over the Green Monster for home run No. 20 on the season.

That 355-foot blast came in the 7th inning and briefly pushed Seattle's lead to 8-5, but the Mariners couldn't hold it, eventually falling 9-8 in 10 innings, their 5th straight loss. The result stings, but Raleigh's individual tear through it is impossible to ignore.
Zoom out and the power surge looks even more absurd. Raleigh has gone deep 6 times in his last 7 games, the kind of stretch that turns a solid year into a scary one for opposing pitchers down the stretch.

None of this is coming out of nowhere. Raleigh set the baseball world on fire in 2025, leading all of MLB with 60 home runs, a mark that broke Ken Griffey Jr.'s Mariners single-season record of 56, topped Mickey Mantle's switch-hitter record of 54, and shattered Salvador Perez's catcher record of 48. He's the standard now, not the chaser.
This year's version has been a little different — a slower average, a cold start, and now this. With 20 homers already banked, Raleigh has reached that mark in 5 of his first 6 big-league seasons, a feat only Mike Piazza has matched among catchers this early in a career.
Fantasy managers and bettors are already circling him for the stretch run, and rightfully so — a catcher who can single-handedly flip a lineup's power output is a rare weapon, and Raleigh's current form suggests No. 20 won't be the last milestone he clears this season.
