CaptainCons And WSD Are Still Beefing On The Dog Walk

White Sox Dave says he mopped the floor with CaptainCons again on The Dog Walk, and Cons is not having it.

The Dog Walk has quietly become one of the most reliable running feuds in the Barstool podcast universe, and this week's episode kept the tradition alive. White Sox Dave came out of the taping declaring total victory over co-host CaptainCons, and within minutes Cons was online disputing every word of it.

That's the bit. WSD talks his talk, Cons pushes back, and the two of them turn a 15-20 minute Barstool Chicago show into a recurring grudge match for the timeline. This time Cons didn't just deny getting "bodied" — he said Dave brought up the family, specifically his daughter, and framed the whole exchange as Dave twisting a moment where Cons actually had him dead to rights.

Leave it to Dave to cite an example from the episode when I provided irrefutable proof that he was wrong to claim he bodied me Not only that, he insulted my family. Specifically, my daughter He’s a mutant But fun episode! @DogWalkBarstool

Eddie, who hosts the show and usually plays referee between his rotating cast of guests, put a number on it: Part 47. That's not hyperbole for effect — it's shorthand for just how many times this exact WSD-versus-Cons dynamic has played out on the pod, with Cons reportedly rattling off a list of 24 things he wanted Dave to address on this go-around alone.

Eddie tagged this one "WSD vs Cons Part 47," with Cons listing off 24 grievances for Dave to answer for.

The beef wasn't the only thing on the show's menu. The episode also ran a "Build A Bar" draft segment, with the cast picking and choosing elements to construct their ideal bar. Cons, for his part, seemed pretty pleased with how his board turned out, saying he'd essentially recreated one of his favorite real-life bars rather than inventing something from scratch.

The Dog Walk posted the results of its Build A Bar draft, asking fans to weigh in on who won.

None of this is new territory for the show, and that's kind of the point. The Dog Walk, which airs out of Barstool Chicago with Eddie usually flanked by rotating co-hosts like Cons and WSD, has built a chunk of its identity on this exact kind of low-stakes, high-volume bickering — guys who clearly like each other spending 20 minutes acting like they don't. It's a formula plenty of Barstool podcasts lean on, but WSD and Cons have turned it into a genuine bit with a growing episode count attached to it.

Expect Part 48 sooner rather than later. Whatever Dave said about Cons's daughter isn't getting dropped quietly, and Cons made it pretty clear on Twitter that he's saving receipts for the next taping. For a show that runs on recurring characters and inside jokes, that's exactly the kind of storyline that keeps people tuning back in.
