Compton, who spent 9 NFL seasons as an undrafted linebacker before building out a media career alongside former Titans teammate Taylor Lewan, clearly liked the energy of the debate. Instead of arguing back, he called CaptainCons's bluff with a genuinely funny challenge: write a poem about mowing grass, and Compton would hand it to his landscapers to read out loud before they even started the job.

Most people would've let that die as a bit. CaptainCons didn't. He accepted on the spot, admitting there aren't really enough words to capture the beauty of mowing a lawn, but that he'd give it a shot anyway, with a genuine shoutout to the landscapers themselves. Then he actually followed through, texting Compton a real, finished poem meant to be read to his crew before they fired up the mowers.

It's a dumb bit, sure, but it's the kind of dumb bit that makes internet arguments fun again. Nobody's lawn actually got mowed faster or slower because of this exchange, but a landscaping crew somewhere is apparently about to get a pep talk in verse before clocking in, and that's a better use of a Twitter beef than most.
