The Chiefs and G.E.H.A. framed this as a mutual, amicable split rather than a company pulling out. G.E.H.A.'s EVP of Growth and Strategy said the two sides jointly decided to 'return the stadium to its iconic Arrowhead identity, honoring the legacy, tradition, and community pride it represents.' The company isn't disappearing from the Chiefs' orbit either — it's staying on as a partner for programs like the Chiefs Military Mission and the Joe Delaney Learn to Swim Program.
For a fanbase that's been riding a dynasty since 2019, this feels like a small but symbolic reset. Arrowhead has been one of the loudest, most feared buildings in the NFL for over 5 decades, and the GEHA branding always read like an asterisk on that history. Stripping it back down to one word is the kind of move that costs a company money and buys a team goodwill.
The change officially kicks in with the 2026 season, so the first time fans will see 'Arrowhead' standing alone on the schedule and the signage will be this fall. Small thing, big applause in Chiefs Kingdom.
