Rediscovering America 250 Turns Into Barstool's Best Bit of the Summer

Wonton Don waded into a river dressed as George Washington and somehow that's the least chaotic part of Barstool's July 4th road trip.

Barstool's Rediscovering America 250 series picked the perfect week to lean all the way into the bit. With the country's 250th birthday just passed, Wonton Don and the crew didn't just cover the holiday, they cosplayed straight through it, and the internet ate up every second.

That's not a leaked history documentary, that's just Wonton Don committing to a costume and a river crossing because the calendar said 250. It's the kind of unhinged production value that makes Rediscovering America work: real locations, real physical stunts, zero regard for dignity.

A trio in full Colonial gear, including a Ben Franklin lookalike, busted out a synchronized freestyle in a brick courtyard.

Between the powdered wigs and the freestyle routines, the show found time for the stuff that actually built the country's mythology, guys in tricorn hats firing scoped rifles on a range while a drummer marched the beat behind them. It's history-nerd content dressed up as a party, which is exactly the lane Barstool's been carving out since this series launched.

Reenactors in Revolutionary War costumes fired scoped rifles on an outdoor range as a period drummer kept time nearby.

The series isn't slowing down either. A new recap dropped teaming Wonton Don with anus, promising the behind-the-scenes stuff that never made the main cut of the Rediscovering 250 run. If the first wave of clips is any indication, the outtakes alone might be funnier than the finished episodes.
