Ferris Bueller's Day Off turned 40 this week, and if you grew up anywhere near Chicago, that movie isn't just a teen comedy — it's a city tour guide disguised as a John Hughes script. It's the most Chicago movie ever made that isn't technically about Chicago, and it's the kind of anniversary Barstool Chicago was built to mark.

The premise is exactly what you'd want from this franchise. Eddie, decked out in a Cubs hat and Chicago flag hoodie, drags Jeff D Lowe around to the spots where Hughes actually shot the movie. Let Me Show You Chicago has been Eddie's lane for a while now — locals showing off the city to Barstool guys who aren't from there — and pegging the new episode to the 40th anniversary of arguably the city's most iconic movie is the kind of layup that writes itself.
