Dave Portnoy loaded up a Barstool squad and headed for the Family Feud taping, and the vibes were sideways before they even hit the podiums. Atlanta is the destination, but the green room is already a sitcom.

Family Feud has been a TV institution for decades, and the celebrity-team format under Steve Harvey has turned into appointment viewing for anyone who likes watching grown adults blank on questions a 5th grader could solve. Drop a Barstool crew into that machine and you are basically asking for chaos. Portnoy made it official with a behind-the-scenes look at the accommodations, and the crew was clearly soaking it in.

Of course, 15 seconds into the experience, the team chemistry was already in question. Jerry was on a controller instead of cramming survey answers, which feels exactly like the kind of prep job you would expect from a Barstool roster heading into a nationally televised game show.

Then came the real drama: makeup. The entire team waved off the glam crew except Rico Bo$co, who took the touch-up and immediately got chirped for it. Cons, meanwhile, was sweating the house lights and the forehead shine that comes with them, which is the kind of pre-show paranoia that only kicks in once you see how bright a real TV stage actually is.

By the time the team hit game-ready mode, the tone shifted from goofing off to locked in. Rico Bo$co was treating it like kickoff, Viva was ready to roll, and Portnoy posted the suited-up team photo that signaled the bit was now a competition. Steven Cheah was cheering from the outside, calling for a Barstool win on the road.

Whatever happens on the podium when this airs, the pre-tape arc is already vintage Barstool: first-class travel, instant infighting over makeup, a teammate playing Xbox while everyone else paces, and a leader insisting we are taking this very seriously. If they actually win a round, it might be the upset of the syndicated-TV year.
