Every so often a golf travel video shows up and reminds you that the sport is, in fact, played in some absurdly beautiful places. The Fore Play crew just dropped Episode 1 of their Ireland Travels series, and the opening stop at Tralee Golf Club is doing exactly that. Riggs and Trent vs. Frankie and Francis in a 2v2 money match on a coastal links that looks engineered in a lab to humble you and your camera roll at the same time.
Three holes in and the drone is already doing damage — seaside par 3s and rocky coastline as far as the lens can see.
The pitch from the crew has been pretty simple all week: just watch it. Frankie has been hammering the drone-shot angle on his own timeline, and honestly, the 16th at Tralee might do more recruiting for Ireland golf trips than any tourism board ever could. A flagstick perched over the ocean, bunkers cut into the edges, overcast Irish sky — it's the postcard hole you tell your buddies about for the next decade.
The 16th at Tralee in all its windswept par-3 glory.
Then there's the actual golf, which is where it stops being a screensaver and starts being content. Trent grinding out pars on holes that look like they were designed to eat amateurs alive is one thing. Frankie cashing in on what the crew labeled the Luck of the Irish — a hole-out moment that sent everyone into the knees-on-the-green celebration — is the kind of clip that justifies hauling the whole production overseas in the first place.
Frankie's hole-out reaction on the links, christened with the obligatory ☘️.
The timing isn't an accident either. Episode 1 lands the same week Barstool Golf is setting up shop at the U.S. Open Merchandise Pavilion, so the whole Fore Play universe is firing on all cylinders. But the Ireland trip is the centerpiece. Three holes into the trip the crew was already calling Ireland the greatest place to golf on the planet, and after watching the Tralee episode, it's tough to make a counter-argument.
The full episode is up on YouTube — go watch it for the drone shots, stay for the money match.
