Rickie Fowler grabbed the solo lead late with a piece of shotmaking that reminded everybody why the orange-clad hero remains everyone's sentimental favorite. Then Alex Fitz — the younger Fitzpatrick, currently riding a heater since earning his PGA Tour card — refused to go away. He walked one in to drag it back level and made the back nine a genuine sweat. The kid clearly does not care that he's barely had a card long enough to figure out the locker code.

But the actual winner? Kristoffer Reitan. Only his 15th PGA Tour start. Just the 2nd Norwegian ever to win on Tour. At a Signature Event. Reitan got the 2-putt birdie to pull ahead late and never gave it back. You couldn't have picked him out of a 3-man lineup at the start of the week and he just walked out of Philly with the biggest win of his life.
