While the pod guys were busy getting roasted by their own loopers on Long Island, the actual PGA Tour was generating the kind of moment that makes golf golf. Down at Southern Hills for the PGA Championship, a kid in a blue polo took off at a full sprint across the fairway clutching a yellow pin flag, hunting Justin Thomas for an autograph. JT, to his credit, stopped and signed it.

That is the entire pitch for golf as a spectator sport in 15 seconds. No security tackle, no velvet rope, just a kid hauling ass across a major championship venue and a former champ being a good dude about it. Between Frankie getting cooked by his caddie and the JT moment, Fore Play basically covered both ends of the game in one news cycle: the pros being human, and the amateurs being amateurs with cameras pointed at them.
