Green Greg takes Nicky Smokes home to Kansas City

TLDR: Hours after Green Greg asked Big Cat about moving to Chicago and the Yak spent the morning on it, he flew Nicky Smokes to Kansas City for TNF, and Smokes signed off claiming 73 beers.
It started in a kitchen. On the Yak on Thursday, Big Cat told the story of Greg cornering him while he made a coffee between shows.
“Greg comes up to me in the kitchen and he goes, question ... He said, can I move to Chicago?” – Big Cat
That was enough to fill a whole Yak. Big Cat floated a format: a private conversation with Greg, then a public pitch with Dante sitting in as Greg's representation. That idea lasted until Greg apparently leaked the text that started it. Dante's response came in all caps, and the answer was no.
Dante is now in charge of representing Green Greg for negotiations
Nothing is settled. The update from the airport was that Greg ended the conversation by asking Big Cat for a beer and that the 2 of them are "in a better space now." Barstool runs its Chicago office out of the West Loop, and Big Cat is from Chicago, so the stakes for a kid flying back to KC are real, even if the process is a bit.
“Can I get a beer?” - Greg to Big Cat at the end of discussing his potential move. Nothing is confirmed, but “we’re in a better space now” 💚💚💚
Then the trip turned into a Nicky Smokes travel vlog. Smokes landed in KC, gave the city a scouting report of "legit nothing," and toured Greg's house while Greg's dad was out of town, including a green-lit streaming room that he said had never had a girl in it. The next stop was what Greg called the best wing spot in KC. Greg ordered a half dozen for 2 people. Smokes called it factory workshop chicken, then said they might be the best wings he'd ever had. And the dipping sauce argument went to Greg.
Waitress has confirmed the sauce closet to me was blue cheese (i thought it was ranch). Point green.
From there it was all beer-count updates, and none of the numbers should be taken literally. Smokes said 21 at the 1-hour mark and 42 at 2 hours, and somewhere in between he roasted Greg for not being able to spell immunity. The 73 was the goal he announced as soon as they landed, so of course that's the number he finished on.
That leaves Greg where he was at breakfast: in a better space with Big Cat, with no answer on Chicago and no representative. Smokes signed off with "see ya tomorrow," so there's more of this trip coming, and it's hard to believe Greg moving to Chicago gets less airtime than it got Thursday.
