The finale reportedly centered on the Battle of Tumbleton, and with that battle in the books, House of the Dragon is done until Season 4, which HBO has pointed toward 2028. That's a long wait to see whether Aegon's redemption arc holds up and whether Harrenhal ever produces a storyline anyone actually wanted.
