Game 4 in Vegas was the kind of track meet that gets goalies pulled out of the credits and into the story. Carolina jumped early, Vegas clawed back, the score sat at 3-3 in the third, and then the captain decided enough was enough. Jordan Staal scored falling down to put the Canes back in front, and from there it became a series tied up and a city in Carolina feeling something it hasn't felt in a long, long time.

Brandon Bussi — Canes goalie, Long Island kid who took the long road through college and the AHL to even sniff a Cup Final roster spot — got pulled aside after the win and shown a clip of his parents reacting in real time at home. Mom and dad absolutely come unglued. Bussi's response, caught on camera, is basically the only one a human can have in that situation: 'I can't believe you guys just did that to me on TV.'
