McMillan fractured 3 vertebrae in his neck during a preseason game last August, an injury that kept him out for most of the 2025 season before he finally returned in Week 15. Bowles has talked about how tough McMillan was through that recovery, recalling that when McMillan took a hard hit and landed on his neck again after coming back, "he got up like nothing happened."
Before the neck injury derailed things, McMillan was starting to look like a real weapon in Tampa Bay's offense. In 2024 he caught 37 passes for 461 yards and 8 touchdowns, with 7 of those scores coming in a 5-game stretch to close the season. That's the kind of late-season flash that gets fantasy managers and coaches excited heading into a new year, which is exactly why this vague knee update stings.
Not everyone's panicking, though. Fantasy analyst Hayden Winks brushed off the concern with a simple vote of confidence, saying he thinks McMillan will be just fine.
