The Great Nadu Voice Verification Saga Rages On

Jeff Nadu says the proof is real.

Every workplace has that one story that just won't die, and at Barstool right now it's Jeff Nadu's ongoing battle to convince the building that his claims about his voice and his love life are legit. It's been bubbling for a while, but on July 9 it boiled over into a full-blown, multi-Facetime verification circus involving half the Yak roster.

Nadu allegedly called Eddie live with the so-called proof, though the skepticism didn't exactly disappear.

The chase for actual evidence has been the whole plot. Kate tracked the play-by-play in real time, noting that immediately after a Yak appearance, Nadu was back on the phone with Eddie again — round after round, like he was trying to wear the guy down by sheer volume of calls (post-268f26c8-6bc0-47e9-a4f8-9ccd514ec139). By the time Facetime No. 5 wrapped, Eddie declared himself fully satisfied, posting that he could "confirm with the utmost certainty" the claim was true and calling it case closed (post-4fecf003-afb2-4d57-9848-419fa69ef077). Naturally, not everyone in the replies was ready to let it go that easily, with at least one person cracking that it was wild to "dox that spam call" in the process (post-de584cb5-7fde-4aab-bee4-670cf38c2bd7).

Enter Rico, the resident skeptic-in-chief. On the same night, he and Jerry got into it over who's actually racking up numbers in real life — Jerry giving props to Nicky Smokes for making out with multiple women in a single night, and Rico countering that he's personally done 8 or 9 in one sitting. The punchline of the whole exchange: Rico flatly does not think Nadu is the ladies' man he claims to be.

Rico laid out his own numbers before making clear he's not buying Nadu's version of events.

That skepticism has apparently turned into a full-time surveillance operation. Stoolies Clubhouse framed it as Rico tracking Nadu's every move, which lines up with how this saga has played out publicly — it's less a one-off claim and more an ongoing investigation with a self-appointed lead detective who refuses to close the file (post-fe269bcc-5817-48cb-b775-c8e4dd6f2755). Portnoy himself even weighed in on the bit, cosigning a fan comment joking that someone "will do anything to not do content with Nadu," which tells you this thing has officially reached the top of the masthead (post-6a39490b-d341-4679-ba0f-37de0d3b6716).

And it's not just about the alleged conquests — the voice itself has become its own punchline. Pat posted a clip of Kelly Keegs' visible disgust the moment she heard Nadu's voice, which is arguably the most brutal review anyone's handed him in this entire saga.

Kelly Keegs' reaction to hearing Nadu's voice for the first time, caught on camera.

None of this is going away quietly. Nadu's now a regular topic on the Yak, he got a shoutout on the new Out and About pod alongside Rone and Nealy, and Eddie's "case closed" ruling clearly didn't stop Rico from keeping tabs. Until someone produces something Rico actually accepts as proof, expect the Facetime count to keep climbing.
