NjTank Hits His Breaking Point With The Mets Bullpen

Frank Fleming has been carrying Mets fan misery on his back for years, and the last 72 hours pushed him from frustrated to scorched-earth. Now Kimbrel and Hayden Senger are both in the crosshairs.

If you've spent any time in the Mets corner of the internet, you know the rhythm by now. The team coughs up a winnable game, Frank Fleming (NjTank99) opens his phone, and the rest of us get the unfiltered fan-cam version of what every Flushing diehard is screaming into a couch cushion. The last few days have been a greatest hits run of that genre, and it's escalating fast.

It started earlier in the week with Christian Scott getting absolutely worked over by Frank — walks, no shutdown innings, can't get out of the 5th, the whole rap sheet. The 0-2 to 3-2 count thing is the kind of detail only a fan who has actually suffered through every pitch would zero in on.

The specific gripe that set the tone — getting ahead and then nibbling the count full.

Get ahead 0-2 then its 3-2 He is gutless

Then came the bullpen game from hell. An inside-the-park grand slam in a Mets uniform is the kind of thing that sounds made up, but it happened, and you could feel the temperature in Frank's timeline climb in real time. The gambling account basically called the shot — said it might be the final straw.

The inside-the-park grand slam moment that detonated whatever patience was left.

Cut to last night and Frank has officially moved past venting into roster-construction demands. Hayden Senger — the backup catcher whose pre-baseball Whole Foods job has become a running bit — is getting told to go grab an apron. And Craig Kimbrel, the future Hall of Famer running on fumes, is getting the glue-factory treatment after another Mendoza-managed loss that fans feel was punted before the 9th even started.

Senger gets sent back to the produce aisle.

Hayden Senger needs to go back to Whole Foods he is terrible

Kimbrel and Mendoza catch the same swing.

Another game punted by Mendoza itss time to put Kimbrel out to pasture

The thing about Frank is that none of this is a heel turn or a content play — it's just a guy who actually cares being asked to watch the same movie 20 times in a month. The Yak guys have been leaning into it, the edible-fueled rants have already become their own subgenre, and at some point the front office is going to have to either fix the back of the bullpen or accept that the loudest Mets fan on the internet is going to keep cataloguing every loss in real time. Right now, the smart money is on the latter.
