Caitlin Clark forces OT, BBall Paul takes over, and Ant taps out early

Sunday night turned into a full Barstool fever dream: Caitlin Clark dragging a game into overtime, BBall Paul bulldozing through bodies on a separate screen, and Anthony Edwards already shaking hands while there were still 8 minutes on the clock. The PMT-verse melted in real time.

Start with Clark, because that's where the night cracked open. She hit the shot to force OT and the entire Barstool ecosystem lost its mind on cue. The clip is the clip — you've seen it 40 times by now, but it still hits.

Clark gets to the line, hits the shot, and sends it to overtime.

The Fever didn't end up winning it, but that doesn't really matter for the take economy. Clark is the league right now and everybody knows it — which is why Portnoy went fully unhinged the second somebody floated a Jeremy Lin comparison. Linsanity was a glorious 6-week heater. Clark has been the gravitational center of the WNBA for over a year. The takes are not the same shape and Dave wanted blood for the suggestion.

Tough loss but she is the league. The guy who called her Jermey Lin should have his tongue cut out.

Meanwhile, on the other channel, BBall Paul was doing something genuinely insane in the PMT pickup universe — running through everyone on sheer want-to. Big Cat was watching live and openly wishing he could parachute Paul into the actual NBA game happening at the same time.

Wish BBall Paul could somehow play in this TWolves/Spurs game

He was only half joking, because the Wolves game did not need a savior so much as it needed a defibrillator. Anthony Edwards was already in handshake mode with a full quarter still to play, which is the kind of body language you do not want to see from your franchise guy in a game that's still mathematically alive.

Put it all together and you get the perfect Barstool Sunday: Clark dragging a game into OT and validating every Stoolie who's been screaming she's a generational pull, BBall Paul somehow being the most locked-in basketball player on any screen in the office, and the actual NBA superstar tapping out early enough to make Big Cat's pickup-game daydream feel reasonable. The room melted. Portnoy wants a tongue. Same as it ever was.
