He found it at Stanford, graded out as the Cardinal's best pass protector by PFF last year, and turned that into a decision to return for a fifth season instead of testing the NFL Draft.
That decision to come back was supposed to be one of the few settled things about a Stanford roster still figuring itself out under Tavita Pritchard. Instead, the Cardinal now have to open the year figuring out life without him — against a Hawaii team that's no pushover.
