Patrick Kane mic'd up for first goal back with Blackhawks

TLDR: Patrick Kane scored in his first game back with the Blackhawks, a 5-2 season-opening loss in Vegas, and he was mic'd up for the celebration that Chicago couldn't stop replaying.
The goal was nice. The audio is the part Chicago fell in love with, and you can't print most of it.
Here's the goal itself. Early in the 3rd period, with Chicago down 3-1, Kane picked up the puck inside the blue line, broke in alone, moved it side to side the way he has for close to 20 years and slid it past the goalie to make it 3-2. Afterward he said he "just wanted to be patient with it, take my time, kind of make him make a move first and hang onto it." That was career goal No. 509 and No. 447 in a Blackhawks sweater. He also hit a post on a power play in the 2nd and played 21:36.
It didn't save the night. Vegas pulled away and won 5-2, so the opener goes down as a loss. Nobody in Chicago is going to remember the score. They're going to remember a 37-year-old in an 88 sweater yelling about showtime on the bench, and somebody had the good sense to put a mic on him for it.

For anyone who missed the summer: Kane went back to Chicago on a 2-year, $16 million deal with a full no-move clause. He was drafted 1st overall by the Hawks in 2007, won 3 Cups with them (2010, 2013, 2015) and played his first 16 seasons there. Then came the 2023 trade to the Rangers and 3 seasons in Detroit. Last year with the Red Wings he put up 57 points in 67 games, and in January he passed Mike Modano as the highest-scoring U.S.-born player in NHL history. He still had plenty left. He chose to come home anyway.
Is one goal in a loss a reason to lose your mind? Probably not. But the Hawks have spent 3 years rebuilding with no real reason to turn the TV on, and now they've got their old star back for a 2-year victory lap, scoring on a breakaway in Game 1. Chief already says Kane is going to score a million this year. That's a little high, but after one night it's hard to argue.
