Big Cat and PFT Commenter Reignite Cannoli War With CaptainCons

Pardon My Take's Mount Rushmore of Masculine Foods turned into a full-blown roast of cannolis, and CaptainCons is not letting it slide.

Pardon My Take ran its Mount Rushmore of Masculine Foods segment on Monday's show, and somewhere between the manly-food picks the conversation veered into a full teardown of Italian desserts. Cannolis specifically got dragged, and it wasn't a one-off joke — the bit had legs all day across the Barstool roster.

Big Cat delivered the line that kicked it all off, flatly ruling that Italians can't do dessert.

"Italians don't do dessert well" is about as blunt as it gets, and Big Cat said it with zero hedging. PFT Commenter wasn't just nodding along in the studio, either — he took the bit outside and put it to the test on camera.

That's the kind of bit that would normally live and die on a Monday show. Except CaptainCons, who's apparently been fielding grief over his own cannoli opinions for a while now, saw Big Cat co-sign the take on PMT and treated it as vindication.

It’s come to my attention that @BarstoolBigCat shared this same sentiment on @PardonMyTake today Cannolis stink. Italians stink at dessert Now maybe some of you will get off my back

CaptainCons framing it as "maybe some of you will get off my back" tells you this isn't a new fight — he's clearly been the lone anti-cannoli voice in some group chat or replies section for a while, and now he's got Big Cat's PMT segment as backup. The rest of the roster piled on almost immediately. Barstool PAT tried to split the baby, calling cannolis "an F-tier dessert" while giving Italians a pass because the rest of the food is elite — "same reason we overlook their organized crime," he added, which is very much a Pat joke and not a factual claim about anyone's family history.

Jack Kennedy went the other direction and widened the target, saying cannolis "stink" and taking it further to say most cream-filled desserts are guilty by association. So what started as one Mount Rushmore bit on a Monday episode has turned into a mini pile-on, with Big Cat and PFT Commenter's segment as the spark and CaptainCons treating it as long-overdue backup. Whether cannolis actually deserve the slander is a debate that isn't ending anytime soon — but for now, the Italians are 0-for-everything on Barstool's internet.
