Riggs Plays His No. 1 Hater In $10,000 Money Match

On the pod, Riggs also said he told the guy in the video's intro how he'd play it. He wasn't going to curse out his opponent after every shot of a singles match. Hit a good one and Riggs would probably say great shot. Hit a bad one and he might take a shot at you here and there. According to Fore Play, the hater couldn't hold onto his online act once he was standing next to Riggs on a tee box.

The course had some teeth of its own. Southern Pines Golf Club opened in 1906 and is a Donald Ross design, sitting in the Sandhills about 10 minutes from Pinehurst by Riggs' count. On the pod, Riggs warned that Ross greens can eat anybody's lunch no matter how long or short the course is. The hater had never played it, so the crew gave him a full practice round the day before the match.

That removes the obvious excuse. He got a full lap on the course to learn the greens, perfect weather by Riggs' account, and a $10,000 match against the guy he's been ripping online for years.
