Lil Sas, Francis host Are You Garbage on Son of a Boy Dad

TLDR: The Are You Garbage guys sat down on the green couches for a new Son of a Boy Dad on October 1, and fans watching the clips came away convinced the whole episode was a setup against Lil Sas.

5 comedians, 1 table of seltzer cans, and nobody on Sas's side. That was the read on the internet within hours of the episode dropping.

This whole thing felt like a set up against Sas

That's a fan's read, not a confession from anybody on the show. But it's an easy one to buy. This isn't a cold crossover. Sas has history with the Are You Garbage crew: he's been a guest on their podcast before, including a 2024 episode literally titled "Lil Sas Returns!" Bring those guys onto his own set, next to Francis and Rone, and you have a room full of people who know exactly where to poke.

You can’t use a mic like that around Sas

The mic bit is the kind of thing that only plays in a room of comics. Somebody holds a microphone a little too lovingly and right away it's a Sas joke, whether or not Sas gets a word in. Same energy with the roast line clipped from the episode, "You're the oldest 25 year old I ever met," which got a big laugh on the couch. It wasn't everyone's favorite moment, though.

You can tell Francis didn’t like that joke 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Francis not loving a joke is its own subgenre. He's the straight man of Son of a Boy Dad, the one whose weight Sas said on last week's episode "you could set your clock to," so a guest getting a groan out of him instead of a laugh counts as a win. Whether it was a full ambush or just 2 podcasts' worth of comedians piling on the easiest target in the room, the clips are doing exactly what crossover clips are supposed to do.

What to watch for: whether Sas gets his revenge on the next Are You Garbage appearance, and whether the "setup" theory gets addressed on next week's Boy Dad. If the guys bring it up on air, expect Sas to have a lot to say about who set up who.
