Son of a Boy Dad has officially become the variety hour of the Barstool universe, and the newest episode is exhibit A. In the span of one sitting, Lil Sas admitted he doesn't read books, got talked into reading exactly one book, handed out a GOAT crown, and watched Francis get branded a colonizer on the air. Standard Wednesday.
The new episode hit the feed Wednesday afternoon.

The bit that's making the rounds first: Francis using the pod to plug Dave Portnoy's book, which is dropping June 29. Lil Sas opens with a flat 'I don't read,' Francis name-drops the boss's release date, and Lil Sas immediately pivots to 'time to start reading.' It's the cleanest in-house ad read Barstool has gotten in months, and it happened by accident.
Lil Sas goes from anti-reader to Portnoy book club member in under 10 seconds.
From there the show turned into a coronation. Lil Sas spent a chunk of the episode hyping up DaMidgetZimbo as the goat, and Zimbo himself got pulled into the orbit later that day — posting a #DKPartner shot calling out a 'prick' he now hates for life, which is exactly the kind of energy that gets you anointed on this pod in the first place.
Lil Sas on the Boy Dad couch handing the goat title to Zimbo.
And then there's Francis, who decided the move during the World Cup is to openly root for England, which got him the only response that quote deserves: 'Colonizer.' It's the kind of one-word burial that should probably end up on a t-shirt by next week, and it's the running gag the comments are already locking onto.
Francis picks England to win it all and immediately gets labeled for it.
None of these bits are connected on paper — a book plug, a GOAT shout, a colonizer joke — but that's the whole pitch of Son of a Boy Dad. You sit down for a podcast and leave with four memes, one new reading assignment, and a freshly minted goat. Mark June 29 down for the Portnoy book. Mark today down for Zimbo's crown.
