Steven Cheah took on a road-game grilling assignment for 3 families on an unfamiliar grill, and it did not start well.

Barstool's VP of Football Operations doesn't usually work road games in an apron, but Steven Cheah found himself in unfamiliar territory Tuesday night: a strange grill, frozen burgers, and an order ticket that would stress out a short-order cook. The assignment was 8 burgers, 3 of them with cheese, plus 9 hot dogs, feeding his own family and two others.

It went sideways almost immediately. Cheah admitted he should've been able to fit everything on the grates at once but couldn't, comparing the awkward spacing to the Warriors' old death lineup — a funny visual, sure, but also a real admission that the cook was already behind schedule with frozen meat he had no experience handling.

Then came the low point. Cheah choked out the fire entirely and had to shut the whole operation down mid-cook, managing only to get cheese on the burgers before hitting pause and waiting it out. Chief, watching from the sidelines on Twitter, wasn't going to let that statement slide, dropping a one-liner suggesting the entire National League had already seen the damage.

Down but not out, Cheah regrouped. He pivoted to the hot dogs while the fire situation sorted itself out, and within minutes he was back on track, eventually posting confirmation that the dogs were done. From there the burgers followed, and Cheah closed the night out with a triumphant, if self-aware, victory lap.

Not everyone was fully convinced it was a clean win. Stoolies Clubhouse zeroed in on the cheese math, pointing out that only 3 of the 8 people on Cheah's order actually wanted cheese, which means 5 of them apparently wanted their burgers plain — a detail that got its own round of ribbing in the replies. Grill mishaps and all, Cheah managed to feed 3 families off equipment he'd never touched before, and that's a road win by any standard, extinguished fire included.
