Strickland Roasts JackMac's Beard At UFC Media Day

By Vinnie the Gooch·1 min read

Sean Strickland showed up to UFC Media Day in Jersey, looked across the room at Barstool's JackMac, and decided the man's beard was a Grinch situation. He also, for the record, wasn't trying to be mean.

Media Day for a Strickland fight is always a coin flip between actual fight breakdown and Sean going on a tangent about something nobody saw coming. With Khamzat on the other side of the card, the building was already locked down tight before anyone even got a question off.

And then Strickland did Strickland things. JackMac asked his question, and Sean apparently couldn't get past the facial hair. The Grinch comparison landed, the room reacted, and the ricochet was instant.

The best part of any Strickland insult is the immediate walk-back that isn't really a walk-back. He drops a haymaker, then tells you with a straight face that he's not even trying to be mean. Which is somehow worse, because it means that's just how he sees you.

JackMac's been in the MMA media trenches long enough to take a shot from a champ and keep it moving — better to get clowned by Strickland than ignored by him. Beard stays, presumably. Christmas is ruined regardless.
