Mondays on Wake Up Barstool are usually for shaking off the weekend. This one was for picking fights. The whole show was basically a rolling argument about who at the company is full of crap, who's the worst sports fan, and whether Dave Portnoy still gets to have an opinion on the Sixers after the neck-tattoo era of his fandom.
From there it spiraled into an Eastern Conference debate that nobody was going to win cleanly. Dave floated the Knicks or Pistons, BFW threw the Sixers back on the table, TBob backed him up, and Dave responded by calling everyone in the room dumb. That's the Sixers fan starter pack — convinced they stink, furious anyone else agrees.
BFW eventually went nuclear and declared the entire company full of crap, then casually mentioned he'd been watching Rico's stream — which, in Barstool currency, is basically lobbing a grenade and walking out. Whitney, never one to miss a chance to get loud, jumped in with his usual hockey gospel: Buffalo's a wagon, Buffalo beats Montreal, and the slow chug guy is dragging them to a Cup. Standard Whitney programming.
By the time the segment got branded a full-on mush-off, Whitney was screaming that the whole company is crazy and the chat was eating it up as beautiful chaos. Which, honestly, is the show at its best — three guys with wildly different fandoms, zero filter, and a Monday morning to fill.
And the timing is almost too clean. Barstool Feud kicks off this week with Dave waiting on the other side to play with whichever crew survives. After a morning like this, you'd pay extra to see Dave, BFW, and Whitney forced to be teammates answering survey questions in front of a studio audience. Somebody's getting a neck tattoo before this is over.
