Georgia State, meanwhile, has looked like the best team nobody's watching. The Panthers opened with a 59-10 blowout of North Carolina A&T, a program-record margin, then followed it with a 31-17 win over Kennesaw State behind 253 passing yards from Cameran Brown and 101 rushing yards from Lanear McCrary Jr. Dell McGee's group leads the Sun Belt in both rushing and total offense right now.
That's the gap this game is built around: an offense rolling through the Sun Belt against a Big 12 team still finding its footing at home. UCF's response so far has been extremes — a 73-6 rout of Bethune-Cookman sandwiched around the Pitt loss — with nothing in between yet to say which version shows up Saturday.

This is the first time all season the Panthers see a roster built at UCF's level, and it's also the first-ever meeting between these two programs, so there's no history to lean on either way.
Cloud cover and a real chance of rain are in the forecast for Orlando, which is worth watching given how UCF's passing game folded in wet conditions against Pittsburgh. A repeat would put even more weight on the ground game for both sides, and on whether UCF's defense can turn Georgia State's most dangerous cutback runners into third-and-longs before McGee's offense ever has to lean on Brown's arm.
