Kennesaw State walked into 2026 as the league's defending champion after Jerry Mack turned a 2-10 team into a 10-win title winner in year one — a ridiculous turnaround by any measure. Missouri State, meanwhile, is starting from scratch under Casey Woods, the former SMU offensive coordinator brought in to build something sustainable in Springfield.
The Owls handed the offense to Rickie Collins this offseason, a transfer QB swap with Syracuse that puts a new face under center for a program that just won a conference title with someone else running it.
