Everything here starts with Noah Kim and an Eastern Michigan offense that has stalled. At Camp Randall, Kim went 16-of-28 for 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions, and the Eagles ran for only 62 yards as a team. They scored a first-quarter touchdown, then nothing until a fourth-quarter field goal. Wisconsin scored 28 in the second quarter alone. Kim's job on Saturday is simple: take care of the ball and let the talent gap work.

The receiver room is the real worry. After the Wisconsin game, several Eastern Michigan wide receivers and tight ends were listed as questionable or out with undisclosed injuries heading into this week. That matters for a quarterback who already throws a lot of short passes. Lindenwood won't bring the pass rush a Big Ten team does, but a thin set of receivers can still turn a comfortable afternoon into a slow grind. The board has Eastern Michigan as a big favorite regardless.

The start of the season is what makes this skid hurt. The Eagles opened by beating Sacramento State 28-17, then led San Jose State 21-17 going into the fourth quarter at home and lost 27-21.
