Whatever he becomes, he's inheriting a program that's won 9 games in three straight seasons and just knocked off a top-2 team on the road.
Syracuse's season hinges on one name: Steve Angeli. He was must-watch football through 4 games in 2025 before an Achilles injury at Clemson ended his year, and Fran Brown says he's been logging treadmill work and trending toward a full fall camp. If he's really back to that early-season form, Syracuse looks nothing like the team that finished 3-9. If he's not, the Orange are right back where they left off.

The tape from last year points to two programs heading in opposite directions.
