LSU closed out last season the hard way, dropping three of its final five games. A 20-9 loss at Alabama in November was followed by wins over Arkansas and Western Kentucky, but a 17-13 defeat at Oklahoma and a 38-35 loss to Houston on December 28 sent last year's team out on a two-game skid.
None of that carries into 2026. LSU sits at 0-0, and there is no current run to speak of because no game has been played yet this season. Whatever last season's finish said about this roster, it is history now, not form.
