Nebraska's quarterback is Anthony Colandrea, and he gave No. 7 Indiana, the defending national champion, everything it could handle. He threw for 263 yards on 25-of-43 passing and ran 17 times for 47 yards. His 39-yard touchdown run made it 17-6 with about 12 minutes left. Then the Huskers didn't score again. Indiana got 2 fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a 44-yard Josh Hoover strike to Nick Marsh on fourth-and-1, and won 20-17 in Lincoln.

Portland State84-0Until that collapse, Nebraska had handled everything on its schedule. The Huskers beat Michigan State 31-13 in East Lansing and dropped 48 on Maryland, and the defense allowed 7 points in each of its first 2 games. Oregon has been streakier. It got a 7-point scare from Boise State, gave up 39 in a loss at Oklahoma State, then beat USC on the road before UCLA came into Autzen and won. A 3-2 Oregon team ranked No. 13 is hosting a 5-1 Nebraska team that isn't ranked at all, and the season resumes so far don't fully explain that gap.
Nebraska's injury report is short. TE C. Nelson is questionable with a leg injury, which is the only listing. Oregon's is the one that will decide what this game looks like. Watch for Moore's status during the week. If he's cleared, Raiola goes back to the bench and Oregon gets back the offense that scored 41 in the Coliseum. If not, Raiola plays his old team with a banged-up receiver room, and a lot of people in Lincoln will be watching closely.
The forecast won't be a factor: 59 degrees, cloudy, a 5% chance of rain and basically no wind. Each team just lost a game it could have won, Nebraska by blowing a fourth-quarter lead and Oregon by failing to score enough at home. Dan Lanning's Ducks can't take a third loss before Halloween and still think about the Playoff. Nebraska has a chance to show that the Indiana game was a sign of how good it is, not where it tops out.
