There's no probable-pitcher card for this one, but there might as well be a quarterback marquee. Cade Klubnik is off to the NFL after a fourth-round selection by the Jets, which means Clemson rolls into this one with Christopher Vizzina as the presumptive starter, even as five-star freshman Tait Reynolds keeps pushing the competition into fall camp. Dabo Swinney has called Vizzina the 'clear' front-runner, but with just one career start on his resume, clear isn't the same as settled.
North Carolina, meanwhile, is dealing with its own quarterback headache. A transfer who lit it up for 3,508 yards and 38 touchdowns last season backed out of his commitment before ever enrolling, leaving Belichick's staff leaning on Billy Edwards Jr., who never fully recovered from a knee injury in his Wisconsin debut and finished with all of 113 passing yards last year. Travis Burgess, a 4-star true freshman, is very much in the mix too. None of it inspires much confidence heading into a road trip against a program that's beaten UNC with regularity.
