That's a group capable of making life easier on a first-time starter, even against a Rhode Island defense that helped carry a nine-win CAA champion.

The Owls opened 5-3 and looked bowl-bound before dropping four straight to close the season, a collapse that suggests depth and composure issues Rhode Island's battle-tested roster won't be shy about exploiting.
