South Carolina counters with LaNorris Sellers, the do-it-all quarterback who entered 2025 as a preseason Heisman name before a rough year buried both his numbers and Shane Beamer's job security.
The bigger swing factor for South Carolina might be the coaching hire, not the quarterback. New offensive coordinator Kendal Briles is building the offense around Sellers instead of forcing him into a rigid system, and he's got help — a retooled offensive line under new position coach Randy Clements. Oklahoma has the opposite problem: replacing a defense that led the country in interceptions per game and finished top-4 in SP+ a year ago.
