Ryan Silverfield's first season in Fayetteville hit a wall against Georgia, a 45-17 loss where the Bulldogs scored in every quarter. KJ Jackson was efficient in garbage time and otherwise, going 20-of-27 for 212 yards and a touchdown, and Chris Marshall gave the offense a real weapon with 7 catches for 104 yards, but none of it mattered against a defense that never let Arkansas dictate tempo.

Tulsa has none of that baggage. The Golden Hurricane opened the year 2-0, knocking off Oklahoma State 24-10 and then winning on the road at Sam Houston 23-17 — a program building real confidence before it steps into a Power 4 stadium for the first time this season.

Weather won't be a factor Saturday: mostly sunny and 75 degrees in Fayetteville, a calm setting for what should be a lopsided line. The stakes are lower for Arkansas than a conference game, but a home loss to a Group of 5 opponent right after the Georgia beating would turn a rough week into a genuine crisis for a first-year staff.

The bigger question for Arkansas is whether the defense that let Georgia score at will was a product of facing an elite offense or a sign of deeper issues up front.
