Morgan Scalley takes over a Utah program that won 10 games a year ago, and he's not blowing it up. Devon Dampier is back after a debut season that landed him Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and a Manning Award finalist nod, throwing for 2,490 yards and 24 touchdowns while adding 835 yards and 10 scores on the ground. Cincinnati's answer under center looks nothing like that continuity — Brendan Sorsby left for Texas Tech, and Georgia Southern transfer JC French steps in as the new starter after throwing for 5,882 career yards there.
The concern in Cincinnati isn't talent, it's fit.
