Hunter Dobbins underwent reconstructive surgery on his right elbow Wednesday and is expected to need a 12-month recovery, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. It's a second rebuild of the same elbow, and the timeline puts not just the rest of this season but potentially all of 2027 in question. Dobbins is on the 15-day injured list.
There's better news elsewhere on the roster. Masyn Winn could return from the 10-day injured list as soon as Thursday, per Goold, as he works back from a thumb injury. JJ Wetherholt, meanwhile, received a cortisone injection Tuesday to treat tendinitis in his right wrist, also per Goold, and remains on the 10-day IL.
