On the mound — starting pitchers.

Game 2 of the Freeway Series tips at 8:38 ET in Anaheim, and the Dodgers walked in on a 3-game win streak after Andy Pages, Max Muncy, and Teoscar Hernández all went deep in Friday's shutout. The Angels, meanwhile, have dropped 4 of their last 5 and are staring up at a 16-29 hole in the AL West.

The headline act is on the mound for the Halos. José Soriano is 6-2 with a 1.66 ERA and was named AL Pitcher of the Month for April after a stretch where he allowed 1 run through his first 6 starts — the first MLB starter since 1900 to do that. The catch: he's coughed up 4 homers over his last 2 outings and got knocked out after 4 innings (5 ER) by the White Sox his last time out. The book on him is finally getting written.

Justin Wrobleski is the quieter half of this matchup but his line is no joke — 5-1, 2.42 ERA across 44.2 innings. He did get tagged for 7 in his previous start, so the ERA is doing some heavy lifting. Still, for a Dodgers rotation missing Blake Snell (elbow) and Tyler Glasnow (back), getting this from a depth arm is a luxury.

The injury list is where this game gets interesting. The Dodgers are running a skeleton-crew bullpen — Graterol, Casparius, Stewart, Phillips, Cousins, Diaz all on the shelf — which is exactly why Wrobleski needs to give them length. The Angels just got Logan O'Hoppe back behind the plate, but they're still without Kikuchi, Rendon, and closer-type Ben Joyce.

The market has the Dodgers at -126 with Pinnacle but DraftKings has them all the way out at -193, which is the kind of gap that suggests the public is hammering LA after Friday's beatdown. Both sides of every line carry negative EV, so this is a fade-the-juice spot more than a hammer spot. Total is also split — Pinnacle 8.5, DK 9.5 — which tracks for a game with two starters under 2.50 ERA and two bullpens missing core pieces.

Pick your poison: trust Soriano to look like April Soriano, or trust the Dodger lineup that just hung 6 on a no-hitter watch to keep hunting. The smart money quietly says the Angels' home dog price is the only thing on the board with any real charm — but charm doesn't pay, runs do.
