The 28-18 Dodgers head down the 5 to face an Angels team that has dropped 5 in a row and sits 16-30. On paper this is over before first pitch. Of course, that's exactly when the Halos tend to wake up and ruin a Sunday.

Roki Sasaki gets the ball for LA carrying a 5.88 ERA and a 1-3 record, but the vibes around him are quietly trending up. He's reportedly shortened his windup and trimmed the moving parts to clean up his fastball command, and over his last handful of starts he's been stingy with walks. Still a long way from the ace everyone signed up for, but the Dodgers are openly playing the long game with him.

Across the diamond, Grayson Rodriguez is finally making his 2026 debut after opening the year on the IL with right shoulder inflammation. His last rehab outing went 4.2 innings with 11 strikeouts and a pitch count up to 94, so he's stretched out enough to give the Angels real innings. The 0.00 ERA next to his name is a technicality. The Dodgers' lineup will be the first big-league test.

Speaking of the IL, the Dodgers' pitching staff looks like a MASH unit. Snell is heading for elbow surgery Tuesday, Glasnow's back isn't ready, and the bullpen is missing Graterol, Phillips, Stewart, Casparius, and Diaz. The Angels aren't much better off — Kikuchi is shut down for 3-to-4 weeks, Joyce is on the 60-day, and d'Arnaud has no timetable behind the plate.

The market has the Dodgers at -130 with a 9.5 at Pinnacle and an 8.5 at DK, and the EV numbers are red across the board — nothing screaming bet me. DK money is piling onto the Dodgers ML (87% of handle) which tracks for a public Sunday afternoon spot. If you want a swing, it's probably leaning to whatever Rodriguez gives you in his first 4 or 5 innings before this Angels bullpen has to cover the back end.
