Los Angeles swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in three games at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium, winning 5-4 on August 21, 4-3 on August 22 and 4-0 on August 23. The first two wins came down to the final innings before the Dodgers closed it out with a shutout, pushing their record to 80-51 and making it five wins in a row.

Blake Snell was the story of the finale, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing just two hits and no earned runs while walking three and striking out six to finish off the sweep.

Glasnow set to return tonight, Ohtani not far behind

Tyler Glasnow is set to make his return start tonight in Atlanta, according to MLB Trade Rumors. The same outlet reported that Shohei Ohtani may also be back on the mound within a week, and that Will Smith began a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, a move manager Dave Roberts confirmed Sunday, per Katie Woo of The Athletic.

Andy Pages, meanwhile, had a compression screw inserted into his fractured left hand Sunday in an attempt to speed his recovery, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reported.

The Dodgers are in Atlanta tonight, with Glasnow (3-0, 2.72 ERA) opposite Braves right-hander Bryce Elder (8-7, 3.92 ERA), who worked six innings and allowed one run in his last outing against Arizona. Glasnow's return gives Los Angeles a fresh arm for a rotation that has otherwise leaned on its bullpen during the win streak.

The market makes the Dodgers favorites for the opener, with the total pointing to a middling night of scoring — a fair read given Elder's recent form and Glasnow working his way back after time away.
