Nick Frasso came on in relief and gave up a solo homer to Spencer Torkelson in the 5th, extending the margin further. The Polymarket room's busiest 5-minute stretch lined up right with that 2nd-inning outburst, and even as Detroit pulled away, one poster still asked, "Can Rockies score a few runs?" while another, holding Colorado, wrote simply, "Rockies got it."
Colorado's bullpen actually settled things down after that, limiting Detroit to just 3 runs over the final 6 innings, but the early hole was already too deep. The loss extended Colorado's road skid, and the Rockies close the book on this set having been outscored across all 3 games.
Detroit's bullpen barely had to pitch behind Jobe's long outing, a small mercy after needing 7 runs in the 8th just to escape Saturday's game. The Tigers are still missing Justin Verlander and Jack Flaherty from the rotation, and Keider Montero was overseas for the birth of his child, but the group in uniform Sunday didn't need reinforcements.
None of this moved the standings. Colorado is playing out a lost season and Detroit remains outside Wild Card position, but the sweep still closes the book on a series Detroit controlled from the opening pitch of game 1.
