Kyle Bradish takes the ball for Baltimore looking to build on a gem that got wasted his last time out, while Noah Cameron gets the nod for Kansas City still trying to find whatever made his rookie year special.

Home money hit easily as Baltimore rolled 6-1, the O's-offense bull point playing out in full.

Pregame

Baltimore's lineup has been finding late-inning answers all week, and Kansas City's offense keeps stalling behind a rotation missing multiple key arms. The Orioles were fairly priced favorites here and cashed with room to spare.

Bradish has quietly been one of the better stories in Baltimore's rotation since returning from Tommy John surgery, and he's carrying real momentum into this one after a 7.2-inning outing against Cincinnati where he allowed just 3 earned runs. Cameron, on the other hand, is trying to answer real questions about a sophomore slump that's ballooned his ERA well past where it sat during his AL Rookie of the Year runner-up campaign a year ago. The gap between these two arms says a lot about where each of these clubs is heading into the weekend.

Neither team is playing meaningful baseball in July, but Baltimore has at least strung together some encouraging stretches, while Kansas City has been in freefall, dropping series after series and burning through a rotation and lineup ravaged by injury.

The Royals arrive already beat up, with Cole Ragans done for the year after UCL surgery and Kris Bubic managing his own elbow issues, leaving Cameron and a patchwork staff to soak up innings against a lineup that's found life late in games.

That late-game life showed up again. The Orioles put together the exact kind of balanced, chip-away attack that's buried Kansas City all week, and by the time the dust settled it wasn't particularly close.

Cameron lasted just 5 innings in his last outing against Philadelphia and still got the win thanks to run support that simply hasn't shown up on the road. Against a Baltimore lineup getting steady contributions up and down the order, that margin for error evaporated fast, and the Royals' offense — already without Kyle Isbel and Maikel Garcia — never found a rhythm. Six runs on 6 hits is efficient offense against a team that's now lost 4 of its last 5.
