Saturday's split doubleheader summed up this series. Twins took the opener 5-3, then Kansas City clawed back in the nightcap and Witt punched in the go-ahead run with 2 outs in the 9th for a 3-2 win. The Royals are 26-39 and not exactly making July noise, but they've quietly won 3 of 5 and have an actual chance to leave Minneapolis with a series win against a Twins team that's been bleeding starting pitching.

The market is treating this as a coin flip — Royals -106, Twins -104 at Pinnacle, total parked at 8.5 with the over juiced to -134. That's a market saying "Cameron's the better arm, but the Twins are home and the Royals lineup is the Royals lineup." If Cameron repeats anything close to his last outing and Buxton is in fact out, leaning Kansas City makes plenty of sense. If Prielipp keeps the ball off the barrel for 5, this thing goes to the bullpens and gets weird fast.
Bottom line: Cameron is the most trustworthy thing on the field today, the Twins are missing a star, and the Royals just stole a 1-run game with their captain. That's enough to be interested.
